Essential Basic is our base package insurance plan. Lower coverage limits and pricing compared to Essential Expanded.

· Insure trip costs up to $100,000 per person
With Travel Guard Essential, you receive basic coverage in the event of unforeseen trip related expenses such as:
- Trip cancellation, interruption and delay
- Emergency medical treatment or evacuation
- Lost, stolen or damaged baggage or personal effects
- Baggage delay
Increase your coverage with these valuable additions to your Essential Plan.
Optional Coverages* Include:
Flight Guard® - Additional coverage up to $500,000 for a covered loss while flying.
Car Rental Collision Coverage - $35,000 in primary coverage. Covers cost of repairs for covered collision damage to a rental car, up to the limit of coverage, for which the car rental contract holds you responsible. Subject to $250 deductible.
Additional Medical Coverage: Upgrade your plan to include an additional $20,000 per person in Medical Expense Coverage (from $10,000 per person).
*Optional coverages cannot be purchased separately.
